Mel is the firm’s Managing Partner and heads the Employment and Commercial Litigation departments. She is adept at understanding complex legal cases, due to her strategic thinking and problem solving abilities. She is very practical and commercial in her approach. She deals with both contentious and non-contentious employment matters and has extensive experience in employment law and commercial litigation matters. Her clients include PLCs and UK subsidiaries of large multi-nationals, and also individual senior employees.

Career
Mel qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and completed her training with a medium size firm based in Surrey and Covent Garden, with whom she worked until she joined Morgan Russell in July 1999. Mel was appointed Managing Partner in 2007. She has eighteen years experience of commercial matters and over thirteen years in employment law. Mel is an ADR Group Accredited Mediator and regularly lectures on employment law, including lectures for local chapters of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Personal Interests
In her spare time Mel enjoys travel and is a keen runner. She is a founder member and joint chair of a local running club.
